Chief Osita Chidoka, former Minister of Aviation and a respected voice in public policy, has thrown his full support behind Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo’s re-election. He described Soludo as a leader who reflects the values and vision Anambra needs to shape a better future.
Speaking during a live radio interview in Anambra, Chidoka expressed confidence in Soludo’s performance over the past three years. He emphasized that the upcoming governorship election, scheduled for November 8, goes beyond political promises. In his words, the real question is about choosing a leader who genuinely represents the future the people want.
Chidoka shared a personal angle to his endorsement, asking listeners to consider which candidate they would want their children to emulate. Without hesitation, he named Governor Soludo, citing his exceptional intellect, global experience, and deep commitment to public service. He compared Soludo to iconic role models admired by young people in other parts of the world, suggesting Anambra youths could find similar inspiration in their governor.
He also praised Soludo’s dedication to education, referencing their past collaboration on a free basic education model. For Chidoka, expanding educational access remains the strongest tool to tackle poverty. He commended the governor’s work in ensuring every child has a fair chance at learning, regardless of background.
Highlighting Soludo’s leadership style, Chidoka pointed out his inclusive approach and talent for assembling capable teams. He believes this ability to bring together smart, driven people creates a solid foundation for lasting change. He also spoke highly of the recently introduced Homeland Security Law 2025, calling it a smart and community-driven solution for safety and security. According to him, the law’s involvement of landlords, local communities, and religious groups is a game-changer that could influence national security reforms.
Chidoka concluded his endorsement by saying his support isn’t based on sentiment but on Soludo’s proven leadership and clear vision. He stressed that Soludo is the kind of person he would proudly want his son to look up to—an example of what leadership in Anambra should be.
