The rhesus factor (also known as the Rh factor) is a blood antigen that is found on the surface of red blood cells. In the context of fibroids, it's worth noting that women who are Rh-negative (i.e., do not have the rhesus factor) are at a higher risk of developing fibroids. This is thought to be due to the fact that the Rh factor plays a role in hormone regulation, and an imbalance of hormones can lead to the development of fibroids.
